Book 42: Midwives
Today I will be starting Midwives by Chris Bohjalian. This is the story of a midwife who performs an emergency c-section on a mother she believes has died of a stroke. Then a question arises as to whether the mother was really dead or if the midwife inadvertently killed her. This sounds like a really interested story.

This book was really interesting!
ReplyDeleteI finished "Midwives" this afternoon. It was a really interesting story and moral dilemma. It wasn't a book that "I couldn't put down", but it did hold my attention the whole time. Having 3 c-sections myself, this book may have finally scared me into not having another child. I could sympathize with both sides in this story and thought the characters were well developed.
