Book 40: Toture the Artist

I am starting 'Torture the Artist' by Joey Goebel today. This is another book that Levi borrowed from my friend. Both of them say it is a very good story. The main character in the book is a writer/musician who has a horrible life. It turns out that his manager is the source of all the torture he deals with. The manager/industry is testing whether having more pain and suffering and a miserable life, will lead to more success as an artist.

  1. I LOVED this book! I thought the story was very original. I'm always amazed when a writer writes a book and uses so many creative ideas inside of the book. While I thought this was going to be about Vincent, the artist, it was really more focused on the story of Harlan his manager. Harlan was the one who did all the torturing and in a way was torturing himself too. Another reason I liked this book so much, was because I agree with a lot of the things that were said about current tv shows, radio stations, and singers/bands.
