Book 22: Player Piano
I am starting another book from our bookshelf, 'Player Piano' by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Levi said this is one of his favorite or maybe his favorite Vonnegut novel. I have only read one other book by him and thought it was just okay, so I am going to try another one. 'Player Piano' is about a man trying to live in a world that is ran by machines and a super computer. I asked Levi if it was similar to '1984' and he said it's the same concept, but isn't the same writing style.

I just finished 'Player Piano'. Like the other Vonnegut book I read, I thought it was just okay. The first 78 pages or so were so utterly boring that I almost gave up on it, but it did turn around and get interesting. This book is really deep and I think Vonnegut wanted you to feel a sense of boredom in the begininng to to build up the the change in Paul and the get to the action of the book. If I was interested in the subject of engineering and revolution I would have found this book amazing, but that just isn't an interesting topic for me.
