Books 6 and 7

Today I am starting 2 books to count as books #6 and #7. One is 'Pigs in Heaven' by Barbara Kingsolver and the other is 'When you are Engulfed in Flames' by David Sedaris. I have read the first essay in the Sedaris Novel and am already laughing at his sarcastic humor about his life. I will probably start the Kingsolver tonight as I am excited to read it because I have heard a lot of good reviews about it.

  1. You are really cruising!! How are you reading? Do you just read as much or as little as you want in a day? I just divide the number of pages by 7 to see how many I need to read everyday or else I would be reading a lot slower. I also have a tendency to fall asleep when I'm reading, so having the goal of so many pages a day really helps me.

  2. I'm just reading when I feel like it. I usually read in the afternoon when Norah is napping. I have been going to the YMCA on Tuesday and Thursday morning when Wes is in school, so that gives me a lot of reading time while I bike. If I try to read at night I fall asleep too. I catch myself nodding off all the time.
I want to try to finish Pigs in Heaven by the 14th or 15th , so I can talk about it with you and see what your book club thought. And I want to try to get done with the Sedaris one before we see him on the 17th. Might be a little unrealistic, but I'll try.

  3. I've been slacking on reading this week. It doesn't look like I will finish 'Pigs in Heaven' by tonight, but maybe tomorrow night.
