Killer's Laughter
I am starting Killer's Laughter by Isobel Lambot today. I don't really know what it's about, but it caught my eye when I went to get the Dexter books. I guess I'm in a serial killer type of mood. It's a fairly short book, so I hope I enjoy it and that it helps me to meet the book challenge.

I finished Dexter by Design last night. I really like the caring side of Dexter, but I know this is big change in character and has upset most fans of the first 2 books. I just find it interesting to see how he can be a wife, father, and serial killer all at once. In the first 2 books, I was really annoyed with all the cheesy cliques used, but I understand that it is who Dexter is. He needs those over used sayings to fit into society. Now when he says something super cheesy I just smile. I will be starting the last book soon. I think too many people are on to Dexter's hobby and don't know how long it will be before he is caught.

Finished #35
I just finished Dexter in the Dark by Jeff Lindsay. This is the 3rd book in the series and so far was my favorite. The book starts out with Rita and Dexter planning the wedding and honeymoon, and Dexter becoming more of a father figure to Cody and Aster. I really liked this side of Dexter. He loses his "Dark Passenger" during the book and this makes him seem more human. I found this book to be more suspenseful because we saw that Dexter really does have fears. I really liked this book and am headed to the library in a few minutes to get the next one.

Dexter in the Dark
I started "Dexter in the Dark", the 3rd Dexter book, a few days ago. I thought I would have more time to read on vacation, but unfortunately I didn't get any reading time in. I'm really liking the "father" in Dexter, so I'm excited to read more of the story. I can't wait to see how he helps Cody with his dark side.

I finally finished "Parenting with Love and Logic". Some of the ideas in the book were great and really seem like they could work. The book described 3 types of parents, but I don't really think that Levi and I fit any of the categories, we are kind of a combination of all of them. If you don't know which one you are to start with, it's hard to change things to become another type. I really want to learn how to yell less, but some of the ideas in the book didn't seem like my style. I'm glad I read it, and finally finished it, but non-fiction/self-help books really don't seem to be my thing.

Finished #33
I just finished Dearly Devoted Dexter. I liked the book, but I'm just really more excited about watching the series. Seemed like there were so many plots in this story that I couldn't keep up. And I thought it came to an end too quickly. But I'm anxious to start the next book tomorrow morning.

Dearly Devoted Dexter
I am still slowly working my way through Parenting with Love and Logic, but there is only so much of it I can read at a time. It's a good message, but some parts seem to read like a text book.
I decided to once again start another book before finishing the Parenting book. I am starting Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay today. This is the 2nd book in the Dexter series. I liked the 1st book okay, but it wasn't one of my favorites. We were bored a few weeks ago, so we watched the first 2 episodes of Dexter. Now I want to finish watching the tv series, but I also want to read the books first. So I thought I'd try out the 2nd and 3rd Dexter books before watching any more of the tv show.
